Italian textile machinery to partake in roadshow in Iran

A total of 26 Italian textile machinery manufacturers has announced their participation in the forthcoming roadshow in Iran organised by the Italian trade agency, association of Italian textile machinery manufacturers (ACIMIT) and supported by the ministry of economic development, from May 22-30, 2016.

The textile machinery roadshow in Iran will witness textile machinery manufacturers taking part in a series of technology symposia programmed in country's major cities. The roadshow aims to provide a platform to the Iranian textile manufacturers to measure their knowhow with some of Italy's primary producers of textile machinery.

“In recent years, international sanctions have delayed the modernisation process required for local industry to continue to be competitive in a global context,” explains Raffaella Carabelli, president of ACIMIT.

“In 2004, Iran was ranked among the top ten markets for Italian exports in the sector. After years of complete stagnation, our businesses have begun to do steady business in Iran. I'm confident that this Roadshow will contribute to allowing us to recoup lost time,” Carabelli added.

“Italy's textile machinery industry is a world leader for the quality of the technology proposed. We now have the possibility of returning to a market that has a great tradition, with even more success than in the past and with very interesting prospects. Thanks also to the support of ministry of economic development and the Italian trade agency, our sector will take on the role of a strategic partner in Iran's textile industry,” commented president of ACIMIT.
