TEA asks TN CM to raise its demands with PM
In a letter to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, the Tirupur Exporters Association (TEA) has requested her to mention four of its main demands in her memorandum which she would be submitting today during her meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The construction of an ESI hospital at Tirupur with all facilities is in top of the TEA's wish list. In its letter to Jayalalithaa, it said “the existing ESI centres in Tirupur are not equipped with required facilities for treatment.”
“It is a paramount importance to construct an ESI hospital in Tirupur with all facilities for giving treatment to all major diseases as of now, the workers have to travel to Coimbatore to get treatment.” it said.
The TEA also asked the CM to highlight the issue of including Tirupur in the next list of smart cities. This would help Tirupur increase exports and improve the city's quality of life.
