Three int'l garment exhibitions kick off in Bangladesh

Three international exhibitions on equipment and materials for the textile and garment industry kicked off Wednesday in Bangladesh capital Dhaka.

Organizers said the exhibitions aimed at bringing global suppliers closer to the door steps of the local makers through live demonstration of technology, yarn and fabrics, and garment accessories and packaging all under one roof.

They said 1, 050 companies are taking part in the exhibitions -- 17th TEXTECH Bangladesh International Expo-2016, 10th Dhaka International Yarn & Fabrics Show-2016 and 25th DYE-CEM Bangladesh Expo-2016.

Hundreds of decision makers and technical and production personnel of the readymade garment sector from Bangladesh and overseas are expected to throng the exhibitions, they added.

Bangladeshi Industries Minister Amair Hossain Amu inaugurated the the international events as chief guest.

Companies from 23 countries and regions including Bangladesh, China, India, Japan, South Korea and the United States have been showcasing their products at the exhibitions.
